NHS England Gynaecological Cancer Diagnostic Pathway and use of IOTA standards

The IOTA group are delighted that in the “Implementing a Timed Gynaecological Cancer Diagnostic Pathway
Guidance for local health and care systems”  published in October by NHS England and NHS Improvement, it states that transvaginal ultrasonography for an ovarian mass should be carried out to IOTA standards. The IOTA group recognises that some practitioners may be unfamiliar with some of the terms and definitions as well as the utility of the IOTA ADNEX model. We are shortly to announce a series of courses and case example sessions specifically directed towards clinicians who will be scanning patients in this context. If you would like to register your interest in taking part in one of these please give you details here. If you are interested in the IOTA group putting on a course for your department or area please give your details here and our co-ordinator Matt Malecki will get in touch with you.
